Hey Blog Fam,

Trust we're all doing great and following hard after those things the Lord has put in our hearts.

This week's post will be centered on one of the many advantages we have as a Christian; Prayer.

Praying; being able to talk to God, is such a gift we have been given and it is such a great pity that so many believers of today do not make use of this great gift/weapon. 

We sometimes feel we can do a whole lot of things without talking to God about it, we always seem to forget the biblical injunction to pray without ceasing.

I am currently in a Mentoring Academy, and I am learning, re-learning and unlearning so many things concerning prayer which we will be covering in subsequent posts.

I look forward to sharing with you things I have learnt in the academy as well as lessons I am using to fight my battles in this season.

Let me part with the words of this hymn which is centered on prayer.

1. What a Friend we have in Jesus,

    All our sins and griefs to bear!

   What a privilege to carry

   Everything to God in prayer!

   O what peace we often forfeit,

  O what needless pain we bear,

   All because we do not carry

  Everything to God in prayer!

2. Have we trials and temptations?

   Is there trouble anywhere?

   We should never be discouraged,

   Take it to the Lord in prayer.

  Can we find a friend so faithful

  Who will all our sorrows share?

  Jesus knows our every weakness,

  Take it to the Lord in prayer.

3. Are we weak and heavy-laden,

  Cumbered with a load of care?

  Precious Savior, still our refuge—

  Take it to the Lord in prayer;

  Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?

  Take it to the Lord in prayer;

  In His arms He’ll take and shield thee,

  Thou wilt find a solace there.
