We appreciate the fact that you are doing everything possible, to make sure the wife you will spend the rest of your life with spends it in affluence, and that the children will be well taken care of and have the best of things.

We appreciate the fact that you are trying your best to know how to be romantic, how to be able to decipher our moods accurately and how to love us the way we should be loved.

We appreciate your every move to ease our pain and be the shoulder we can lean on at all times.

We appreciate that you are learning to be domesticated; by learning how to cook delicious meals, take care of the house, wash clothes and plates so that we don't look 50 when we are 32.

We appreciate that you are paying regular visits to the gym so that you can carry us on our big day.

But,

There will be days when your sweet musings will mean almost nothing against what's going on in our head.

There will be days when you might not be able to protect us with your physical muscles though you are present.

There will be days when the arms of flesh will fail.

And,

It is for these days that we desire you seek for Him who holds us when your arms although present will be far.

It is for these days we desire that you have a communion with him, and although your relationship with him should not be because of us but because you love Him.

It is because of days like this that we desire that you know God.

I remember at a point in my life, a friend of mine hurt me very deeply and I was finding it hard to forgive (although I have talked so much about forgiveness prior to that time but when it came staring at me in the eye, it was extremely difficult to do). Whenever I wanted to pray, I was always feeling as though someone was talking to God about me.

Imagine you have a misunderstanding with your wife and she wouldn't listen to you, and then you table the matter to her Father, and the beauty comes when she can hear too.

In all you chase, chase God.
There will be a place in her heart that only God can fill, which you Will never be able to, no matter how hard you try.

It will be very romantic for her to wake up and see you praying for her. You don't have to be a pastor in church but you will have to be a priest in the home.


In all your getting, get God.

              

While it is a good thing to be engaged and flaunt the ring on everyone's face, can you categorically say that you have fully maximized your  single hood before joining the highly exalted marriage hood.

I have some times seen people in a rush just to get out of been single get hooked to any man/woman who looks like what they want for the present.

It's actually funny that this same set of people will never have gone past the stage of exchanging of pleasantries, much more get engaged to that man/woman only if they haven't been in such a rush.

Have you ever been so thirsty that you just took the closest sachet water to you and started drinking it, and you were already half way through before you realized that the sachet was smelling. If you weren't in such a rush from the very beginning, you would have detected the awful smell the minute you picket the sachet water up.

So also is it with other aspects of our life, almost anything that comes in a state of desperation almost doesn't end well.

I know pressure comes almost daily, weekly or even monthly for you. I know how embarrassing it can be sometimes.

I attended my church camp last week and it was funny how my friends and egbons couldn't talk to me for five minutes with talking about it.

The pressure from all quarters is high, we know.

But, as we need a clear mind to make right decisions in life, so also do we need a clear mind to make the right choice concerning marriage too.

See, your marriage is going to eventually happen, but by then, your singleness will be gone and irretrievable.

Things gotten out of desperation are usually not IT.

In my really little stay on earth (I  haven't spent much time here o) if there is any word that is next being 'pure', then virginity comes to mind.

But,

Virginity is not the same as being sexually pure.

Yes, virginity is good, but there is more to life than an unbroken hymen or not sleeping with a lady until the wedding night. There are some female virgins who have done all the 'doables' from kissing, romancing, and all you can think of. Their only reason they claim to be a virgin is because they have guarded against a man fully penetrating into them.

While virginity is worth treasuring, but there is really more to being sexually pure than that alone.

For the person who is still a 'virgin', I would like to ask you this questions

Why Are You A Virgin?

Yes, you have to fully understand why you are keeping yourself.

Are You Pure In Thoughts?

There are some virgins whom if what goes on in their mind can be projected for people to see,everyone will take cover.

While it is good no man sleeps with me, haven't I slept with them in my heart?

I remember when I was in the university, my fellowship president would say 'if you look at a lady/man once, it's normal, if you look a second time, you are appreciating the person, if you look a third time, it's time to watch it (quote paraphrased).

Are You Pure In Action?

There are some brothers that can hold you until you begin to wonder what is wrong, they can stare so much at your shirt until you begin to wonder if a button is out of place.

As a male who wants to be sexually pure, there are some places in a woman's body that you have no need touching accidentally not to talk of deliberately.

There are times when in your heart of heart, you might not see anything wrong, but you could be causing trouble for the lady.

Aunty, we know your love language is physical touch, but please, try and suppress it for now, all this laughing and falling on brothers won't help the ministry o.

I agree there are days when we feel like throwing caution to the wind and give in to our desires, but our lives is beyond us.

Being sexually pure is hard work but remember we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength.
